FundsNet is a free directory of grants, foundations and fundraising resources. It has listed grantmakers for nonprofits, schools, libraries, churches and community groups since the late 1990s, organized by state and by cause so that a small organization can see in one place which funders might fit its work.
What we cover
- Grant listings: state pages and cause pages (arts, education, health, environment, human services, religion and more) that name a funder, summarise what it says it supports and link to its website.
- Fundraising: fundraiser types and the kinds of companies and tools groups use to raise money.
- Grant guides: practical guides on getting started with grant writing, researching funders, writing letters of inquiry and finding grants for specific school and community needs.
- Finance and business explainers for small organizations, and a short set of Excel tutorials.
What FundsNet is not
FundsNet does not award grants, loans or scholarships, does not process applications and does not charge for access. A listing is not an endorsement, and inclusion does not mean a funder is currently accepting proposals. Funders change their priorities, deadlines and contact details, so always confirm current guidelines on the funder's own website before you apply.
How we research and source information
Guides are written and updated by the FundsNet editors. We rely on primary sources wherever they exist: the funder's own guidelines, federal sources such as Grants.gov, SAM.gov, the IRS and the U.S. Department of Education, and established nonprofit-sector resources such as Candid. We link to those sources so you can check them yourself. We do not publish invented figures; when a number or deadline changes every year we say so and point to where the current figure is published.

Corrections
Directory pages link to hundreds of outside organizations and some links age. If you find a dead link, a funder that has closed, or an error in a guide, email editors@fundsnetservices.com. Please include the page address and, where possible, a link to the source that shows the correct information.
